Thanks for stopping by!
I want kids to love reading so much that they hide a flashlight under their covers at night just to read a little bit past bedtime. Not too long, though; sleeping is important too. I like to write stories that help children explore, imagine, giggle, experience, learn, appreciate and dream. In my first career, I was an elementary school teacher. I’ve taught grades K and 2, and served as a language arts resource instructor for grades K - 8. I also produced and directed many school-wide talent shows and holiday programs. These days, I volunteer in classrooms and at a children's hospital. Recently, I worked on a project with 4th graders who published an ABC book for a class of children in Rwanda. How exciting it is to connect the world together with reading and writing. When I left teaching, I realized that my show must go on. Next act – author! |
